Minute Maid Park opened in 2000. The ballpark was called Enron Field for the first three years of existance. The Astros moved to Minute Maid Park from the Astrodome, where they played from 1965 to 1999.
Minute Maid Park is located south of downtown Houston and has public transit service provided by Metro bus lines.

Houston Astros History
The Houston Astros were an expansion franchise in 1962 called the Colt 45s. their name was changed to the Astros in 1965. The Houston franchise has never won the World Series. The closest they have come was when they won the National League pennant in 2005. They were defeated in the World Series in four games by the Chicago White Sox.
The Houston Astros will play in the American League Western Division in the 2013 season. A realignment was made to equalize the number of teams in each league and division. When the Astros were sold in 2012, the new owners agreed to change leagues.
