Dodger Stadium has been the home of the Los Angeles Dodgers since 1962. Between 1958 and 1961 the Los Angeles Dodgers played at the Los Angeles Coliseum after moved to California from Brooklyn. Dodger Stadium is located northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Dodger Stadium is located on top of a hill without public transit access. Los Angeles Transit metro buses run on Sunset Boulevard at the bottom of the hill.

The Los Angeles Dodgers last won the World Series in 1988. The Dodgers have won four World Series since moving to Los Angeles. They won one as the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1955.

Don Drysdale was a premier pitcher for the Dodgers from 1959 to 1969. Don Drysdale had 49 career shutouts. His best individual season was 1962 when he won the Cy Young award with a record of 25 wins and 9 losses while throwing six shutouts in a row and pitching 58 consectutive scoreless innings. He is in the baseball Hall of Fame.

Drysdale and Sandy Koufax were teammates and two of the premier pitchers in baseball leading the Dodgers to many great seasons.
