Doug Harvey was a National League umpire from 1962 to 1992. He umpired 4,673 games before retiring at the age of 62 as a result of bad knees.

Doug Harvey umpired in five World Series and six All Star games. In 1974, he was voted the best National League umpire by the Player's Association.

Doug Harvey was inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2010.
