Petco Park is located south of downtown San Diego near the Bay. Petco Park has been the home of the San Diego Padres since 2004. Petco Park replaced multi-purpose Qualcomm Stadium.
Qualcomm Stadium was the Padres home field from their entry into the National League in 1969 to 2003. It was called Jack Murphy Stadium and San Diego Stadium before Qualcomm bought the naming rights in 1998.
Petco Park is served by MTS light rail. Two stations are near Petco Field.

The San Diego Padres have been in existance since 1969 and have never won the World Series. They won the National League pennant in 1984 and 1998, but lost in the World Series twice. The Padres won the Western Division three times after 1998, but always lost in the playoffs
